Frequently Asked Questions

What does TraceIt produce?

TraceIt turns one photo into a line-art drawing you can trace, plus a transfer preview intended for hand embroidery. You keep working on the result in a local canvas on your device.

Which photos can I use?

Use only photos you took yourself or have permission to use. Do not submit photos of celebrities or other public figures, and do not use TraceIt to make an edit that could mislead someone about a real person or event.

What can I do on the canvas?

You can adjust the traced result, lock the canvas so it does not shift while you work, restore it after a change, and lay the drawing out for printing at 10x15 cm, A4, or Letter.

Does TraceIt generate stitch instructions or DMC thread numbers?

No. TraceIt produces line art and a transfer preview only. It does not pick stitches, suggest DMC or other thread numbers, or build a cross-stitch grid chart.

What is free and what needs credits?

The app is free to download and includes a small number of starter credits. Each AI line-art generation uses credits, so AI use is limited to the credits on your device or in your purchase. Local Pro is a separate one-time unlock for multiple saved projects; it never adds AI credits. The current project's three print sizes and PDF output stay free.

What leaves my device?

The photo you pick is prepared on device, and a reduced-size copy is sent to The Sky Bringup AI service to generate the line art. Canvas edits, saved projects, and printing stay on your device.

Which languages does TraceIt support?

The app interface is available in English and Spanish (Mexico and Spain). This website is published in English.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are handled by Apple. Go to Settings > Apple ID > Purchase History on your device, or contact Apple Support directly.
